I’m always thankful for the changing of the year on the calendar. I love that the new year gives a definite time to refocus my life and to do better than the year before. I’ve created this 2018 printable goal tracker to keep track of daily goals. I love the idea of filling in or checking off each day that a goal is accomplished. Feel free to print as many of these as you like so that you can keep track of as many goals as you want.
I always seem to be busy, but this past year has been exceptionally crazy for me, and I know that I need to refocus and prioritize many things in my life. Each year I try to break down specific goals (rather than resolutions) so that I can have a real focus on what I want to accomplish. Of course, if I don’t resolve to do something it isn’t going to happen, so I’m not knocking resolutions. 😉 Some of my goals from different areas of my this year include the following: (I’d love to know some of your goals!)
- Show genuine interest and focus when my children are talking to me. At times I can become easily distracted from them (for lots of reasons), and I need to give them true attention. I not only want to keep the precious relationship I have with them, but to also continue to deepen and expand it. Those things are not possible without genuine and loving communication.
- Stop discounting things my husband asks of me as not important or something that can wait till later. There are always things that *can* wait till later, but why put them off if someone important to me has asked me to do them and I can get them done then?
- Be prepared, especially when it comes to things pertaining to the household. I definitely let the craziness of life be an excuse for not being prepared or taking care of things (like grocery shopping and cooking dinner). I badly want to break that terrible habit.
- Be more focused in serious Bible study. I was able to teach ladies Bible class this fall, and one of the reasons I enjoy teaching so much is that it forces me to think about the text in a different and more serious way. I want to apply that approach to my personal Bible study whether or not I’m teaching a class.
